@bwchism When I was in undergrad, I got called for jury duty during a break between quarters. I didn’t want to get picked, but I got picked to be on a jury in a personal injury trial. It influenced my decision to go to law school. After that, I went all Reese Witherspoon on the LSAT.

I do not believe they were not shoplifting. A few weeks ago, I got stopped by security after leaving the store. He asked me to show the receipt. I showed it. It was that simple, I did not have to run.

@bwchism People don’t have patience for shoplifters. Once you stop prosecuting petty crime, others see there are no consequences. Businesses lose money, insurance goes up. At the end of the day, police are more valuable than shoplifters as a category.
