@PhysInHistory Pt. 2 So, slices 1 and 5 are on opposite sides of the same line as are 2 and 6, 3 and 7, 4 and 8. Adding the the angles of each pair would be 180°. So you'd have 2 360° pizzas, with a smaller diameter, though the length of each piece would need adjusting to make a circles. Right?

@PhysInHistory I think this has to do with the math of angles. If you bisect a straight line, the angles on either side of the line will add up to 180°. So by alternating slices, each person is getting one side of that bisection, which adds up to 180° for each of 2 alternate pieces.
