🙏 Praying for Annalise
Our middle child drowned when she was barely 2. 10 minutes under water in a family pool.
Within hours, 2 or 3, the ER staff sent the priest to tell me she was gone...
I refused to believe it...
I walked into the ER Trauma room where my baby laid eerily still...
I ran to her
Grabbed her shoulders
Yelled her name over and over to wake up...
In my peripheral sight, a nurse and doctor were drawing a syringe with what I assumed was for me. Something to knock me out.
I prayed aloud for God to send my baby back to me.
The doctor and nurse stepped closer to me... when
a soft yet very audible 'Mommy' filled that room.
My baby was there.
Doctors and nurses flooded in, pushed me aside, and began working on her again.
Almost a month in PICU
We were asked to donate her organs.
We were told she would be a vegetable for her short life.
They sold every horrible end they could.
My husband and I stood firm.
Today? Married, Momma of 2 of her own beautiful children, deep tissue massage therapist, and strong, smart, and capable as anyone.
I'm a retired disabled nurse
Your fight is 💯 valid!!
They lie with every breath they can muster.
🚨 The truth about Officer Brian Sicknick 📷 On January 6th, it wasn’t Trump supporters who sprayed Sicknick with chemical irritants — it was Capitol Police themselves. The footage is clear: they hit their own man with mace in the chaos. But instead of owning up, they lied. They pinned it on the very people who were being beaten, gassed, and trampled by police that day. For years, the system used this false narrative to vilify peaceful protesters, weaponize the “insurrection” story, and silence anyone who dared question the official script. The real brutality came from the police. And the cover-up came from the politicians. #J6Truth #BrianSicknick #Justice
Republican Senators, for the love of God…
STOP POSTING.
You’ve been in the Senate Majority for 15 months. WE THE PEOPLE gave you everything. We gave you the House and Senate so YOU ALL would unite behind President Trump and tram through the entire America First agenda, confirm every nominee, and crush radical Democrat obstruction.
Instead, because YOU chose John Thune as Senate Leader, everything is stalled, watered down, and sabotaged.
We don’t need more tweets about what “needs to happen.”
You have the power. Use it. Pass the agenda.
Confirm the nominees.
Stop the radicals.
STOP POSTING AND ACT.
The American people are watching.
Next time there’s a disaster in Alaska, and there are several a year, DHS will still show up. Alaska also gets several Homeland Security grants a year. Maybe the free money/grants should be reviewed…
I organized an intervention to stop Elon from starting SpaceX. Here is the story...
Twenty five years ago, Elon and I sat in a car on a dark stretch of Long Island highway, two neurodiverse geeks staring at the night sky and wondering what came next. We had both experienced substantial exits and felt the weight of possibility ahead of us.
When I joked about 'space' while gazing upward, neither of us imagined we were planting the seed for what would become the largest IPO in history. We spent the next two hours debating why space was so hard. In the end, rockets are fuel and metal. We also debated where to go, and it was crystal clear that Mars was the only real destination.
Upon returning to NYC, we embarked on a global tour of space, meeting space agencies and luminaries worldwide. This opened our eyes to an industry stuck in bureaucratic thinking. If things continued at that pace, it was clear that we would never explore space in our lifetime.
So, we launched Life to Mars to show the world that two ambitious young men (29 and 30 years old), could send life to Mars without any government backing or support. We planned to send and grow plants on Mars, though some were pushing us to send mice.
We had a $50 MM budget that rested on our purchase of two Russian ICBMs for $7 MM each. We assumed one ICBM would fail, and we would learn and fix everything before launching again. When Elon went back to actually buy the ICBMs, the Russians tripled the price, bringing out launch costs from a total of $14 MM to $42 MM.
Our ambitious Life to Mars plan was no longer viable.
As you might imagine, Elon was not pleased. So, he decided to start SpaceX and create his own Mars rockets. Now, this is a crazy idea, both now and at the time, so I organized a large panel of top space experts, and we ambushed him at the Georgian Hotel one morning. It was set up like an intervention for an alcoholic, but for space.
Elon looked me in the eye when leaving the room and said, "I am going to do this." The intervention failed. Elon was committed. The rest is history.
I am excited to see this IPO after 25 years of hard work. What SpaceX has done is a testament to human will and overcoming insurmountable obstacles. It's nothing short of amazing.
Congratulations, E. Amazing.
Hey friends,
Losing a job overnight is tough. No matter who you are.
The sudden shutdown of Spirit Airlines on May 2 left around 17,000 hardworking pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, ground crew, and support staff without income, benefits, and stability for their families.
That hits hard, especially in places like Florida, Texas, Nevada, and other hubs where Spirit had a big presence.
When so many in one industry are left jobless in just a handful of areas across our country, we should all take notice.
These families are facing many of the same stresses that families hit by natural disasters deal with, though it is less visible and unfolds more slowly. These are real people with bills, kids, and careers built over years in aviation.
Compassion and practical help should matter to all of us as we focus on making America great again.
A lot of good work has already kicked in to support them:
The Department of Labor set up a dedicated rapid response page (https://t.co/bhV7kBZEJ1) with unemployment help, reemployment services, resume support, and state hotlines. Florida, Texas, Nevada, and others have held job events and career centers.
Major airlines stepped up fast. American, United, Southwest, Delta, JetBlue, Frontier, and others created preferential interview pipelines, dedicated microsites (like American’s SupportingSpirit and United’s Spirit spotlight), fast-track hiring, and even temporary travel benefits and jump seats so people could get home.
Southwest boosted its pilot hiring target partly because of this talent pool. Boeing even ran virtual career events.
Unions (AFA, ALPA, IAM) and state workforce agencies are pushing training access and tracking openings.
It is not perfect. Many face loss of seniority, pay adjustments, and slower timelines (especially flight attendants, where best-case estimates are still months for hundreds to start). These pipelines are open and thousands have applied.
That said, we can do more to close the gaps for those still struggling.
With DHS and ICE ramping up their new dedicated Boeing 737 fleet for operations, this is a practical opportunity. The administration should direct targeted outreach, training programs, and hiring pathways specifically for qualified ex-Spirit employees.
These pilots and mechanics come from the Airbus platform and would benefit from support with Boeing 737 type ratings, along with ground ops, maintenance, and support roles.
Partner with DOL and DOT for priority referrals, co-hosted job fairs in affected areas, and funded transition training. This would reuse skilled American aviation workers, fill mission-critical needs faster, and give stable federal-adjacent jobs to people who already know the skies.
What do you think, friends?
Have you seen Spirit workers in your area landing new roles, or still hitting roadblocks?
Should we tag reps or DOT/DHS on this idea for Spirit-to-ICE Air pipelines?
Drop your thoughts or experiences below. This is just my thoughts on practical solutions. Practical ideas only move forward when we share them.

Hey @CAgovernor, you know you’re rigging it, we know you’re rigging it, and you’re scum for screwing Californians out of their votes.
Bass @KarenBassLA and you can go straight to hades.
And take @LeaderJohnThune with you for not passing the Save America Act.
Bravo to the California Post for borrowing my favorite term to describe our elections:
ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION
Remember, Electile Dysfunction is best described by five key symptoms.
1) You have difficulty maintaining an election
2) Your election lasts for longer than four days
3) You have a sudden, severe, and noticeable loss of interest in voting
4) Government goes soft on accountability
And finally, like Arizona voters know all too well…
5) Premature inauguration
Learn and share the symptoms so this doesn’t happen to a state you love.
Independent Doctors Demand Texas Children's Hospital Give Annelise Camp Every Opportunity to Live
Two-year-old near-drowning patient puts Texas's Right to Try law directly to the test; IMA calls on hospital to stop pressuring parents toward life-ending decision
FULL STATEMENT: WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), a national coalition representing more than 12,000 independent physicians, researchers, and clinicians, today issued an urgent statement demanding Texas Children's Hospital cease its pressure campaign against the parents of Annelise Camp, a two-year-old near-drowning patient currently fighting for her life, and honor the family's right to pursue every available avenue for their daughter's recovery.
Texas Children's Hospital (@TexasChildrens) has indicated it intends to pursue a brain death determination for Annelise, over the explicit objections of her parents, who are seeking access to alternative treatments and supportive care in accordance with the state's Right to Try law. The IMA is calling that effort premature, medically unsound given the patient's age and circumstance, and a direct violation of the principles that Texas's Right to Try legislation was designed to protect.
"Annelise must be given every opportunity to recover," said IMA Senior Fellow @DrKatLindley, Director of the IMA Fellowship Program. "Texas Children's Hospital needs to remember its mission: to treat and care for every patient. The medical literature is clear that young children who have experienced near-drowning events can and do make remarkable, even extraordinary recoveries, recoveries that would have been impossible if families had been forced into premature end-of-life decisions. These parents are not in denial. They are doing what every parent would do: fighting for their child's life. Texas Children's Hospital must stand down from this pressure campaign and work with this family, not against them."
The Science Is on the Family's Side
The medical case for giving Annelise time is grounded in well-documented neurological science. Young brains possess extraordinary neuroplasticity: the capacity to rewire, compensate, and restore functions once thought permanently lost, even following prolonged oxygen deprivation. There are many documented cases of toddlers and young children who have regained consciousness, relearned to walk and speak, and gone on to live full lives after near-drowning events and extended coma.
Any decision to foreclose the possibility of recovery, over a family's explicit objection, and in a patient population where the science supports waiting, is not a medical determination, but rather a policy determination, and exactly the kind of action that Texas's Right to Try law was designed to prevent.
"Families must have the right to give their child every chance to fight back and recover," continued Dr. Lindley. "That is precisely why Texas passed its Right to Try law, so that parents facing the most devastating moments of their lives are not also being pushed toward irreversible decisions by institutional timelines that may have nothing to do with their child's prognosis. Texas Children's Hospital has an opportunity right now to lead with compassion, to work alongside this family, and to demonstrate that patient-centered care is more than a mission statement. We are urging them, in the strongest possible terms, to take it."
Annelise (also spelled Anneliese or Annalise) is a feminine name of German origin that combines Anna and Liese/Elise.
* Anna comes from the Hebrew name Hannah, meaning “grace” or “favor.”
* Elise is a form of Elizabeth, which means “God is my oath.”
As a combined name, Annelise is often interpreted as:
* “Graced by God”
* “God’s gracious promise”
* “Favored with grace”
Annelise must be given every opportunity to recover. Young brains possess extraordinary neuroplasticity: the capacity to rewire, compensate, and restore functions once thought permanently lost, even following prolonged oxygen deprivation. Her family has a right to try every available treatment, even if experimental, and give her a chance to come back.
