@bt_uk Estimated 'fix date' today and still no updates or contact from engineer. Will you let me look for another provider yet or still happy to keep taking my money and providing an appalling service and customer experience? @bt_uk
Hi @bt_uk, we've had no broadband for 2 days, 2 adults trying to WFH. No update except 'estimated fix date' in 5 days' time & problem is described incorrectly on faults site even though I have explained it several times (no connection, no dial tone). Pls sort this ASAP!
@bt_uk Why have you removed my 'right to exit' my account with you? You expect us to try and work with mobile data for a week and not allowed to seek alternative providers?! Lovely way to treat your customers, @bt_uk ! Locked into terrible service

As I write a lot about bad jobs/employers, I've been thinking about what it is that makes a job good. Did you ever have a job you really loved? If so, what did you love about it? (It's for a piece!)
@sarahoconnor_ Hi Sarah! I am currently conducting a @NuffieldFound funded research project on this topic with a focus on parents.
Our latest report (in which we asked working parents the exact question you pose): https://t.co/YobtL9BgXO

And finally, when there is a union at work, @Rose_E_Cook et al. find 🇬🇧 fathers are more likely to see a flexible working arrangement available to them. This increases the chance of more equitable worktime arrangements & less negative ♀️ income effects: https://t.co/vfnxDJ7hfM
What do working parents value in a job?
👍 Flexibility
👍 Job & financial security
👍 Control over when & how work is carried out

NEW: The UK government's commitment to flexible working will falter unless more is done to overcome the huge barriers that remain to adopting the practice, our report with @workingfamUK and supported by @NuffieldFound warns [1/5]

"Flexibility as it currently stands arguably bolsters gender inequalities rather than tackling them... Structural and cultural changes are needed across the workforce"

The pace, innovation & creativity shown by this year’s #TimesTop50 is awe-inspiring. Amidst challenges of #COVID19 these businesses have stepped up to create a new landscape for women & work. Download the report: https://t.co/GrUoTY6DE0 #GenderEquality#TheWayAheadForEquality
Pls share with your working parent networks!
Together with @KingsCollegeLon & @GIWLkings we're inviting parents to take part in a focus group to identify:
What do parents look for in a job?
We can offer a £40 high street voucher as a thank you.

EVENT: Canada and Hawaii are leading the world with a commitment to build back from the crisis in a way that takes account of the disproportionate impact on women.

The next #FemQuantSeminar on 15 April at 4pm UK time is given by @Lolabear88. Can't wait to hear about her experiences in doing #breastfeeding research as a not-yet-mother.
I think this'll be another brilliant methodological take in the series (cf. @JoeStrongDemog's Feb seminar)
@GIWLkings used @usociety#COVID19 data & found that women are losing out under the furlough scheme.
Women were more likely to be furloughed for longer & had worse perceived job & financial security compared with furloughed men.
