Importance of Hydration
The following occurs as fluid loss affects bodyweight.
2% decrease in body weight = a measurable decrease in performance
3% decrease in body weight = 5% loss in power output
5% decrease in bodyweight = 30% decreased work capacity
HYDRATE!
Please let us practice. Regardless if we play in the fall or spring, and regardless how school opens up, let us practice. Itโs much safer than what our athletes are going to do without us. Consider our players physical, mental, and social well being.
We can actually de-condition tendons & ligaments for on-field (stable surface) ground contacts by spending time on unstable surfaces
You canโt exert as much, as rapid or the same region of force & thus become unable to handle collisions between foot & ground during sport
