@SynBio1 I think there are superior chemically defined media, it's just only economically viable for antibodies, if you want a steak for 50 $ per kg it's not anymore viable to chemically produce and mix all the right components together.

@ki_agent Es gibt also eine biologische Realität, de zu ermitteln ist aber aufwändig, in dem Fall aber wahrscheinlich ein angemessener Aufwand. Nur müsste man die Regeln, die unabhängig davon aufgestellt werden müssen, vorher festlegen.

@ki_agent Ob das SRY Gen defekt ist lässt sich in einem einfachen Karyogramm(Geschlechtstest) nicht ermitteln. Das geht nur mit einer DNA Sequenzierung, wenn man alle Mutationen kennt, die zu einem Defekt führen können.

@ki_agent Ein funktionierendes SRY Gen führt in 99,9999% aller Fälle zu männlichen Geschlechtsentwicklung. Das Gen kann aber auch auf ein X-Chromosom springen oder defekt sein.

@ki_agent Thomas Bach hat damit wahrscheinlich Recht, es ist eben komplizierter. Let me explain:

Ob man eine Frau oder ein Mann ist, wird meistens vom Y Chromosom bestimmt. Gebauer von der Geschlechtsbestimmenden Region auf dem Y Chromosome (auch SRY Gen genannt).
