One unexpected side effect of learning to build apps:
My Notes app is becoming dangerous.
Every annoying little problem is now:
“Could this be an app?”
Most ideas are probably terrible.
The problem is they all sound brilliant for the first 24 hours.
Sunday schedule:
- Family time
- Watch City game, then Newcastle - Pool
- Work on business while watching games
- Relax
Balance is everything. Family will always come first, then everything else. Remember to touch some grass 😊
Something changed after my first person paid for Botkassa.
Not financially.
One customer obviously doesn't change anything there.
But mentally?
It changed a lot.
A stranger decided something I built solved a problem well enough to pay for it.
Now I don't really care about customer #100 yet.
I want to understand how to get customer #2-3-4-5.
A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine asked me how I built apps with ai. He had no experience, so I needed to explain it in simple terms. That´s why I made this article. https://t.co/MQ0JwNBbVw
Appwar is live ⚔️
The public app leaderboard is now open.
Want the top spot? Buy it for $1 more than the current leader.
Every takeover costs exactly $1 more. No estimates. No bidding wars. Just one dollar at a time.

Will this be as popular? No
But it was fun to see what I could make in a day, I had never used Stripe before.
But it was fun to se what I could make in a day and I learned a lot. Had never used Stripe or Resend, now I know both

Yes I got the idea and copyed most of @jonathan_wilke https://t.co/CTfmlnS7ZZ that got a massive movement.
But I went a different route, this is Apple App Store apps only. Add your app store link, metadata is fetched and everything is ready in seconds. Add your X name for futher reach.
Set amount to pay, $1 more then the top spot.
This is becoming a dangerous habit.
I encounter a small problem.
I think:
“Surely there’s an app for this.”
Five minutes later:
“…I could probably build this.”
That’s basically how Botkassa started.
I was sitting in Excel trying to keep track of small fines and payments, and it quickly turned into a mess. I just wanted a simple way to register them and share the overview with the group without overcomplicating things.
So now I'm building it, got paying customers and really enjoy developing the app.
@pfernan95dev Yeah thats right.
I’m working on an article thats describing what everything does in an easy way. Hopefully someone starting up can have use of it 😁
What confused me most when I started app development wasn't the code.
It was figuring out what everything actually did.
Expo?
Supabase?
Vercel?
Xcode?
Once I understood how the pieces fit together, everything became much easier.
A few months ago, my goal was simple:
Learn how to build an app.
Now I have three apps live and another one in development.
And somehow I feel like I know less than when I started.
Because every problem I solve reveals another one.
Coding → distribution.
Downloads → retention.
Users → paying customers.
Turns out shipping the app just unlocks the next level.
