@BostonGlobe When billionaires leave, California will have to target millionaires next. And once the state gets that money, it will never give it up. The tax will become permanent.
@StarTribune When I saw this post, I immediately knew it would be about boys in girls sports and bathrooms. The StarTribune relentlessly pushes gender ideology.
Scorching testimony by @JenRevere on California’s newest assault on parental rights.
AB 1967 allows a child of any age, placed by her parents in a safe residential facility, to secretly file an application to leave that facility and become a ward of the state.
“Facility” includes drug rehab, faith-based programs, wilderness therapy, and even some boarding schools.
Imagine your drug-addicted 14-year-old is finally in treatment. Under AB 1967, he can secretly file to get out.
Just because.
But the real purpose of this bill is removing children from parents who refuse to “affirm” a child’s cross-sex identity. @AsmRickZbur gives away the game in his response. ⬇️
@mnhousegop The DFL gave sole power to a commission appointed by Walz to choose a new Minnesota flag.
Meanwhile, in other states:
• Utah had a legislative vote
• Mississippi had a referendum
• Illinois had an advisory vote
• Maine had a referendum
@StarTribune Literally the reason they are closing the park:
"Juanita Espinosa, a member of the Park Board’s Native American Advisory Council from the Spirit Lake Nation in North Dakota, told commissioners that dogs can take the good energy from prayers meant to protect humans."
@StarTribune Breakfast cereals are not healthy or a good value.
"Supervalu has unveiled new labels meant to simplify grocery shopping for people who want to eat healthy...shopper Eva Blaine-Smith of Apple Valley searches for breakfast cereal."
For decades, conservatives' primary achievement had been creating the illusion of resistance towards the Left. But now, those days are over and no better evidence of that than the FTC lawsuit against WPATH.
It strikes at the molten core of WPATH's rotten fraud scheme - insurance coverage. Often overlooked, this is the single most important factor that allowed this radical ideology to be leveraged into every clinic, surgical center, and hospital in the country.
Because in order to have "access" to "gender affirming care," they required insurance coverage. In order to have insurance coverage, WPATH needed to prove their interventions were "medically necessary." How do you prove something is "medically necessary?" Evidence, of course.
If you think about it, these were the words left wing outlets would always use in their articles - "evidenced-based," "medically necessary," "life-saving." These phrases were never about their concern for their patients but rather the need to gain widespread acceptance into insurance markets.
WPATH proved remarkably successful by working from the bottom up:
1) Manufacture fraudulent evidence about their recommended interventions.
2) Use that fraudulent evidence to support the medical necessity of those interventions.
3) Pressure insurance companies to cover those interventions.
This all led WPATH to their bucket of gold at the end of the rainbow - "access." Because with access to insurance coverage, any person, whether they were a confused child or adult, could now access sex rejecting interventions through their health plan.
Unlike the evidence supporting cardiac stents or laparoscopic surgery, the evidence for medical necessity in WPATH's standards of care - which was/is listed in every major insurance policy - was based on a poorly concealed web of fraud.
Not only did the FTC recognize this as WPATH's central vulnerability and develop the legal claims that most accurately represent this monstrous crime, but they have the courage to bring those claims in a way that will force WPATH into completely unfamiliar territory - an uncorrupted court with actual legal standards.
What this amounts to is WPATH being forced to confront the mountains of evidence against them in a venue that will not be afraid to impose a punishment that is concordant with the scale of their crimes.
It's great to see everybody celebrating the FTC on X but we should remember that behind the "FTC" are actual people - like Chairman @AFergusonFTC, @AnnieCRubin, @JonSchweppe and a whole bunch of other fire-breathing conservatives, all of whom are sick of seeing our country destroyed and our children sterilized.
Bravo.
@thauserkstp@KSTP Good to see Tafoya at the top, but my gosh 15% still for Royce White? Do republicans like losing? Do they want gender fanatic Peggy Flanagan to win?
