@EnergyOmbudsman Anyway, I decided to vote with my feet and ditch @SoEnergyUK, and will let @ofgem and the @EnergyOmbudsman work out between them if their job is to hold suppliers to account or to write regulations for nobody to enforce.
Interesting discovery this week: @ofgem says energy suppliers must refund customer credit balances promptly, and aim for a £0 balance at the end of a consumption year. But @SoEnergyUK says their policy to keep a customer in credit by 2 months consumption trumps their regulator!
Meanwhile the @EnergyOmbudsman says they cannot even consider them breach until 8 weeks have elapsed since the customer requests a refund, which hardly supports the regulator's policy that customers should be refunded promptly.
@EnergyOmbudsman Seems to me that either the @EnergyOmbudsman has lost sight of their role, or @ofgem policies are not worth the website they're written on, because @SoEnergyUK clearly thinks the regulations are for flouting.
@liam345 I think this means that those who bought #Brexit (I never did) were sold a pup. I never voted for them, but I wonder why those who were conned still do. Perhaps they'll be interested in my new Xmas venture: "Con Me" forehead tattoos at the bargain price of 1 for the price of 2.
As you may be aware, we had a critical incident at today’s run. Paramedics were on the scene quickly and the runner was taken to hospital. As you’re all probably concerned we will let you know once we have an update on their condition. 1/3
We send all our love and best wishes to them and their family. Also, a huge thank you to our runners and volunteers who helped in this emergency. A true reflection of community spirit and concern for others. We can’t thank you enough.
#ShameOnYou@NewGParking for what looks like bullying justified by their own ignorance of the law. BBC News - Disabled woman fined more than £1,000 for parking in disabled spot

In the interest of balance I would like to give a shout out to @BorisJohnson whose unwavering consistency of character and recent refusal to change has vindicated my long held belief that those who vote for him out of unfounded optimism will be disappointed. Thank you Boris!
@SamsungUK want to know if I would recommend them? Errm .. Their service is shockingly poor, but their products are pretty good, and I get some great discounts. So ... Not to anyone who pays full price. Nor to friends I want to keep. Good luck to the rest of you!
Today I terminated my brief relationship with @pilltimeuk. Their promise of a reliable hassle-free prescription delivery service broken 3 weeks ago, since when I have wasted hours calmly repeating myself in emails, listening to their call queuing system, and being disappointed.
@SamsungHelpUK My suggestion to anyone out there in @samsunguk : if you promise to respond within 5 days and can't, why not send a message saying when you will respond instead of making customers waste hours chasing you. We call it "common courtesy", an essential part of customer service.
@SamsungHelpUK Unfortunately it seems you're even less able to help me, all you can do is repeat what their email says - which is to phone or email them ... Except you can't even do that because you're a "digital-only team" which appears to mean that you're not able to contact them.
@SamsungHelpUK Now you've told me that if I send an email (to the address I already sent an email to) then your colleagues "will be delighted to respond" (which they already didn't). Any more suggestions?
@SamsungHelpUK Just dropped you a message with the claim details as requested and received a reply "we cannot access the claims system". What's the point of asking for a claim number and asking me to contact you if you can't actually help!?
@SamsungHelpUK@Craig69177805 The cashback offer is a high risk gamble - they promise to validate claims within 5 working days but don't. Why would a company offer cashback instead of a discount? Perhaps because they don't intend to honour it?
@HughesDirect@SamsungUK Take care: @SamsungUK say if you claim they'll confirm your claim WITHIN 5 working days. NOT TRUE: I waited almost double that to get ANY response to my claim and am STILL waiting for them to validate it. Buyer beware: the claim is process painful ... if it's honoured at all.
