At heart I believe all of us are children of God who are siblings to one another. As such, each of us has the inherent right to liberty, freedom, and the ability to pursue our dreams and create value for ourselves. We ought to stand for those principles and defend them for every human being regardless of race, creed, gender, orientation, or nationality. We may all be different in our unique ways, but we ought to treat each other equally before the law and afford dignity and respect to one another. We should show love, kindness, and decency to others in our private lives. Compassion, empathy, and mercy are strengths because they are virtues. Integrity and charity above all.
@jhallito@CollegeGameDay Thatβs great! Whatβs even more funny is that a former Cosmo from several years ago came out, so this poster would have worked perfectly with him. Does that mean Utah fans are bi-rivalry now? Not that thereβs anything wrong with that π€£.
@jdkahler@DarkTechMonitor@stengel Such as the specific law prohibiting federal agents from being stationed at polling places. What he doesnβt get is that nowhere in that clause does it say βExecutive Branchβ which the DOJ is a member.
@DarkTechMonitor@stengel Last time I checked the DOJ was part of the Executive Branch which is not mentioned at all in that clause. Congress has passed no law giving it standing and actually makes it a crime for members of the Executive Branch to be at polling places.
Real Christians, peoples whose faith is transformative and not performative, understand that Christβs kingdom is not of this world. Whether itβs Isaiahβs warnings about Judah making political aliances with idolatrous nations or Jesus warning about the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin, deliverance ONLY comes from God and not by the sword or worldly means. Your duty is to boycott or hinder evil, not choose the lesser of. You either vote to repudiate it or put obstacles in its way. You donβt vote to tolerate it because it tells you what you want to hear while doing the opposite.
@dawgsmack If voting for a party is embracing that party's evil, I can't vote for either party. What you're saying is the Republican's evil is evil you can live with.
I don't vote for evil. I vote to balance power between two entities to limit the evil each can do.
@PukaJimmer Hereβs the thing, a Utah win increases the likelihood of the Big 12 getting 3 bids. A one loss BYU-Utah loser likely gets in at 11-1 and the undefeated winner playing an undefeated TT in the CCG game is in regardless of the result.
