the inability to perform parallel updates was a major limitation for digital p-bits… and it just got solved!

Interesting results improving convergence in parallel, densely-connected optimisation using inertia. Seems like damping in belief propagation https://t.co/DYgeZVaBHO . Makes me think that using random damping of each message could give a dropout effect and might work even better.

My PhD degree was officially conferred today. On this special day, I am filled with honor to announce that in April this year, I will be joining the McMahon Lab (https://t.co/nrmOGuq1Li) at Cornell University to continue my postdoctoral research.
