Today, WePlanet Africa hosted Kenya's Nuclear Energy Conversation at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), bringing together students from JOOUST and Bondo TTI for an engaging discussion on Kenya's nuclear energy future.

We are grateful to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Elijah Omwenga, for officially opening the event and emphasizing the importance of informed dialogue, research, and public participation as Kenya explores nuclear energy.

@WePlanetAfrica's Peter Gichuki , @kenyan_ygn's Linnet Nyamweya, @eaarp_official's Robert Kiptoo, @Jooustonline's Jack Abibo and @KenyaNuclearSoc's founding president Dr. David Otwoma shared insights on nuclear technology, Safety, careers, environmental protection, and Kenya's journey toward clean, reliable energy.

The highlight of the day was the interactive Q&A session, where students asked questions about safety, radiation, why Siaya was selected as a proposed site, community involvement, and the opportunities nuclear energy presents for Kenya's future. The level of engagement reaffirmed the need for continued public conversations grounded in science and evidence.

The conversation doesn't end here. Tomorrow, we're taking it to the people.

What’s happening with @stimasacco systems. First of all, in January, I’m erroneously deducted Ksh 34,000, from a loan completed in December, this morning, 15/02/2023, 05:05am, I receive a warning message to pay Ksh 17. At 8am all my previous loan guarantors are alerted.
