@networkrail please could you let me know when a fence will be put up between my house and the railway. My email has been passed to maintenance but I've heard nothing since. I have young children and there is nothing currently between garden and railway line. Thank you

I love my job.
I know there is lots to be downhearted about as a trainee (or consultant) in the UK at the moment, yet I want to pipe up that there are jobs out there that are brilliant.
I get to work in an exciting field with a committed team and have lots of autonomy. There’s opportunity to learn, develop new skills, and make a contribution. It’s practical and theoretical. There’s emergencies and long-term care. And I get to spend 50% of my time doing research.
Unfurling its deftly folded hindwings from under its protective, red and black-spotted elytra, the ladybird beetle’s anatomical dynamism is stunning. For a great study on its wing-folding process using artificial elytron transplantation and micro-CT scans: https://t.co/bzu45ZV4tT
@andreajenkyns Hiya Andrea, teachers are putting children first by striking. Part of what we're asking for is properly funded schools. This will mean more money for students and better lessons. At the moment, every time there is a pay rise, the money comes out of the classroom.
@CHighburyTrust@highburypark Brilliant news. Any chance some of this funding could be used to restore and improve play equipment in the park for local children?
We all need to read this. Including @Ofstednews. How dare an inspector approach a school with a hostile attitude? Is this what HMCI wants? Is it what anyone with a brain wants?https://t.co/XIs83sW01Y
School inspection.
I’m delighted to be on the panel of ‘Beyond Ofsted – An Inquiry into the Future of School Inspection’ which has been set up to review the role of Ofsted and what a better inspection system would look like.
Complete the survey now.

@Suchmo83 That's great thank you. Just need to encourage my SLT to buy more books! :-) If only there could be some kind of class-reader book exchange between schools.
@Suchmo83 Hi Christopher, I enjoyed this thread. Can I ask how do you structure discussion of a text without the reading become too stop-start? I sometime worry about losing the enjoyment of reading if I ask too many questions throughout.
@branwenjeffreys Do you think Ofsted get a true reflection of a school in one/two days? To me, it seems that 'outstanding' schools are simply better able to play the Ofsted game.
