Iran’s Ramin Rezaeian in mixed zone:
“It’s something political (his goal celebration). I don’t want to talk about that.”
“We are here to answer football questions.”
“If there is a problem between us (the Iranian people), it is between us.”
Eye-popping events in Uganda today, where President Museveni's son and head of the defence forces has been gleefully boasting about torturing the former mayor of Kampala and opposition lawyer on X.
This has shattered me.
May his tormentors never know a moment of peace, not in this life, not in the next.
May they find no rest, no calm, no mercy. May their days be long.
May peace be a stranger to their homes.
May they be tormented by what they’ve done every single night.
Iran is not an Arab nation, yet it was the only country to stand up for Palestine and Lebanon. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain are all Arab, but they chose to back Israel. The moral courage of Iranians is truly unmatched!
A FIFA World Cup host country must guarantee two fundamental principles: the safety of the country — and the unrestricted entry of all qualified teams, officials and referees. The case of referee Omar Artan from Somalia is against one of these obligations. FIFA must never compromise the universality of football. #Fifa #Somalia #GianniInfantino #CAF #OmarAtan #DonaldTrump
Hon. Professor @KamuntuProf , I forgot to tell you, please don’t tolerate any form of extrajudicial killings especially by some few rogue officers in the Crime Intelligence Directorate.
MHOBA proudly celebrates Mr. Kenneth Kimuli popularly known as Pablo @PabloKimuli — a journalist, playwright, Rotarian, arts leader, and Uganda’s premier stand-up comedian whose journey continues to inspire generations.
Long before the national and international spotlight, Pablo was already making his mark at Mbarara High School. He stood out as a student leader, serving as one of the 15 Constituency Assembly Delegate Representatives from Chaapa in S.1 in 1994. He later served as Class Councillor, Vice Chairman of the Debate Club, and Deputy Food Prefect, before rising to become Chairman of the School Council in S.5 and S.6 from 1998 to 1999.
Today, his legacy spans comedy, theatre, film, media, and community service. He has founded and co-founded key arts initiatives, hosted Pablo and Kids, won national and regional awards, and earned international recognition through the World’s Funniest Person Competition, Sundance Theatre Lab, and Comedy Directors Lab in New York.
As a creative force, Pablo has written plays including One Night Stand, Madness is Coming, and Kiss No More, and appeared in films such as The Last King of Scotland, Hand in Hand, and They Stopped Eating Fruits.
From the school corridors of Mbarara High to stages and screens across the world, Pablo continues to embody the Bulls’ spirit of creativity, excellence, leadership, and service.
We celebrate you, Pablo!
