- cause team divides

-make negative behaviors acceptable

@joeclowery @Backheeled Vlatko had to manage an extremely difficult transitional period. He couldn’t just phase all those players out immediately after a decade of success, he would lose the locker room. Not to mention integrating young talent and the world leveling up in women’s soccer. Unfair article.

Vlatko has faced immense pressure about every facet of this team in his first WC. I’m sure he wanted to win this game badly, esp for his professional career.

Despite this, seems like he was a real leader in the face of this devastating defeat. Hope he gets another chance.
