@Merrily_Meme@ReaILuckyStrike@PlazaLeoVzla@LucaCifone@benshapiro As I said I am not against universal healthcare. I think it would be better for the country as a whole. It works in other countries because everyone pays their fair share. In the US they talk about taxing the top 1% more than half their money.
@Merrily_Meme@ReaILuckyStrike@PlazaLeoVzla@LucaCifone@benshapiro Alot of single filers in the US with children making 30k a year pay no taxes after tax credits and get health insurance through medicaid, medicare or government marketplace for little to nothing. Those people would pay 20 percent on everything past 16k in the UK right?
@Merrily_Meme@ReaILuckyStrike@PlazaLeoVzla@LucaCifone@benshapiro A growing population of the middle class in the UK and Canada(more than 20 percent)now are getting supplemental private insurance plans because they find the universal healthcare to be sub par
@Merrily_Meme@ReaILuckyStrike@PlazaLeoVzla@LucaCifone@benshapiro Someone making the equivalent of 17k in the us pays 20 percent in taxes in the UK. In the US they pay nothing and get tax credits if they have children. And a huge percentage of that demographic are on medicaid or medicare
@Merrily_Meme@ReaILuckyStrike@PlazaLeoVzla@LucaCifone@benshapiro I have a feeling that if we went to the UK system, alot of low income people wouldn't be happy when realizing they will have to pay more out of their paycheck and not get that big refund in February. Some middle class would be better off, some not so much.
@allisongr0ss@purtsakelyk@BernieSanders No you are over complicating it. Most middle income earners in european countries pay twice what we pay in taxes. Americans get scared because they are ignorant to a better system. Then Bernie is talking about taxing the rich, and their shouldn't be billionaires. Wonder why๐ค
