@jfg956 Hello @jfg956, I do not see any problems on the siftrss side currently. The siftrss feed updates live, so it should always be up to date or very close. There is a 5-minute cache to prevent hammering servers. I am seeing a recent lastBuildDate in the feed right now.
@marzus_mrzs There has been a DDoS attack on and off in recent days. I've taken steps to mitigate it and things seem to have stabilized. Please do let me know if you continue having troubles.
@jfg956@codeascraft@PlanetMysqlComT It looks like siftrss sometimes gets a 403 when trying to GET https://t.co/i3G5GDYCvR. In fact, my personal machine does too. It seems Etsy's DataDome is sometimes erroneously blocking bot traffic to the RSS feed. Obviously it shouldn't, because almost all RSS traffic is bots.
@torgospizza Alright, because you and Krombopulos Michael are the real deal you get a dirty hack with no UI: https://t.co/WoxqkRKHLb
Let me know if you can work with that! I can't see the Patron post because I'm not a member (shame shame shame).
@SeanPKelley Wait, WHAT?! They pose as devs, get the names of your clients, and then call them up and try to undercut you? That's wild. It seems like so much effort.
@danluu A classic case of concentrated benefits and diffuse costs: the company's logo may be worse which costs the company in some vague, impossible-to-quantify way while an individual gets to put their name on the big, shiny project with huge visibility.
@DNABlob Thanks so much, James! I'm glad to hear you're liking it.
Some users do share feeds so a publicly-accessible edit page link would be a no-go, but with enough interest I may eventually add user accounts or at least a see-once edit link similar to Imgur.
@ChrisGP14_waze siftrss hasn't had any downtime as far as I can tell, so the most likely explanation is that the source feed itself was unavailable.
Unfortunately that's not a problem I can do anything about on my end, but please do let me know if there's a problem with siftrss itself!
@andeftee Hey, thanks Ras! Do you have an example feed you could pass along so I can take a look?
There is commonly a tag like `<language>en-us</language>` to filter on.
