Wake up.
Every profession deemed white-collar, the middle class dream, is about to be decimated by AI, at a much faster pace than anticipated, with monstrous social consequences.
At the start of the year, I started my journey to becoming a cybersecurity professional with a focus on AI governance, Risk and Compliance.
Take the risk! Time will pass either way.
While this is possible mostly for technical roles, working under foreign/multinational firms & sometimes few Kenyan firms (Snr role). Such are often an exception. Curiously though, why can't they state their specific roles/expertise or upload payslip with PI's redacted?
doomscrolling makes you think the world is ending. then you go outside, look at the economy, the weather, the rent, and the state of humanity and realize the internet was actually sugarcoating it.
On Live Streaming of Election results:
Remember, Ruto & Uhuru amended Elections Act in 2017 to block live streaming. We went to Court and Court invalidated the amendments.
That 10 years later Ruto thinks he can block live streaming is laughable.

Nairobi is the physical embodiment of what happens when the concept of “public good” is almost completely disappeared from how a city is governed; what happens when a municipal authority almost entirely abandons the city to market forces.
This morning we filed a petition against the bill that National Assembly passed removing live transmission of presidential elections results. We have untill Monday to serve and we are going to do exactly that. We are against opacity in Kenya's electoral system.
The concept of politicians showing up early to a disaster scene, inconvenience first responders, draw media attention unto themselves, often as a preemptive PR maneuver to control the narrative pisses me off. Jidishi @SakajaJohnson 🚮
Disasters rarely happen in a vacuum, they're often caused/ exacerbated by systemic failures, Compromised regulatory enforcement, corrupt zoning approvals, ignored safety warnings etc... all of which Sakaja's administration is complicit.
There is a fine line between a leader showing up to project steady crisis governance and a leader getting in the way for a camera angle. What is the value of politicians showing up as first responders to a disaster scene like this. Like what exactly is Sakaja going to do here?
