@GaryMarcus you missed that capacity is constrained at the hardware level for at least the next decade, and everyone does not have the same claim to it
mentioned to a friend last night, I think the reason senior eng is more willing to let AI write all their code, is that they gave up caring about the code long ago. if you are 5-10 years into your career, you obsess about code quality and craft. 10-15, you just want it to work
I find it remarkable how much convergence there is between successful agentic patterns and functional programming. make state immutable, minimize side effects. agents operate best in state machines.
I've had a bunch of tech leadership roles, and through them all, I could never quit building. Contributing code, taking on projects myself. It's fun to see the pendulum swing back
@ivanburazin In my early 20s, I trained myself to be comfortable with hunger. In my 30s, it was awareness to stop eating when I'm almost full.
Resistance can be learned
local builders kept qwen ecosystem alive across 3.5 and 3.6 open weights releases. that's why qwen is THE name in open weight inference in 2026. don't break the pattern on 3.7.
closed is the path openai took. they dropped "open" from everything except the company name and now nobody trusts a roadmap that mentions "soon." don't let qwen drift into that territory.
3.7 is currently api only. weights still tba. one repost on this thread is one more signal alibaba sees. let's see if the gate moves.
Today WorkOS is launching auth.md
An open protocol for agents to register for services on the web.
We're partnering with @Cloudflare and @Firecrawl as some of the first providers.
Why did we build this? And why now? π§΅
yea, vibecoding ignited my side projects, i've never built faster. i made my own baby video monitor that is used literally 8 hours a day right now
but what has taken me back to youth is running my own models. installing hardware, bios upgrades, mucking system settings. so fun
I think the reason we haven't seen multiple, large financing rounds for agent session storage is indicative that everyone is still figuring out how to build their software factory
MCP Night: Agent Mode is 2 days away, and we have a stacked lineup of speakers and presenters:
@adisingh - AgentMail
@irvinebroque - Cloudflare
@clairevo - ChatPRD
@zeeg - Sentry
@baconbrix - Expo
@keyserfaty - AgentCard
@RhysSullivan - Executor
Plus a special demo from the @WorkOS team... π
See you there!
spent the weekend coding with qwen3. feels like self-improving software is attainable. i'm starting with a supervisor and a clock. next is hot-reloading code.
Iβve probably seen around 2,500 offices in NYC over the past 15 years. What @mprkhrst and his team created at @antimetal is one of the most creative and intentional workspaces Iβve ever seen.
These things matter more than most people realize.
We are thrilled to be part of the Stripe Projects launch π₯³

I remember there was a point with image gen where AI was better at writing the prompt that me, so instead of fumbling I just asked chatgpt for a midjourney prompt.
feels like we are there with coding
