But, in reality, the prices at McDonalds don’t have to go up at all. It’s already more expensive here than in places with much higher wages

For that matter, if everyone tried to do so, the rent would go up substantially in those places. A healthy economy requires balance. The minimum wage was intended to keep that balance in check.

If you can’t pay a living wage, your business deserves to fail. Many could easily do so and refuse to. Costs will rise if wages do or not.

Endless inflation and stagnant wages is completely unsustainable. Unless you’re rich and greedy, you’re only working against yourself.
