Things I’m learning through church planting:
Mass communication is inherently impersonal despite our attempts to make it “feel personal.” An email from Mailchimp addressed to “Dear [FirstName]” is one more opportunity to disengage without any sense of relational loss.
I’m NOT suggesting mass communication tools should never be used. (They should be!) Let’s just not fool ourselves into thinking they are something they’re not.
Was recently introduced to The Morning Brew. I’ve never been a fan of daily newsletters. (I’m a relentless unsubscriber.) But I actually look forward to this one each morning. Concise and thorough.
Definitely recommend giving it a shot: https://t.co/MAP14qhfTf
Good systems don’t replace relationships, they support relationships.

When someone “falls through the cracks” of our churches, businesses, or even personal lives, it’s most often not due to lack of heart but lack of system.
I was just on a sales call that lasted (I’m not exaggerating) 3 minutes. Salesman asked me 2 questions which told him everything he needed to know. And he’s emailing me everything I need to know. In 3 minutes, he 3x’d the likelihood of me using his service.
