I think matt's right that there was huge confusion in the market place:
For example, I thought @WordPress dot org was a part of the open source project, not someone's personal website. I was shocked to learn that wasn't the case
@briancoords@mikemcalister If only the WordPress Foundation was a real thing with real board members and some semblance of community say. It could raise money to support .org infrastructure for the community instead of it being one guy's website.
@schutzsmith @Benioff@salesforce I donβt understand why @photomatt has to create such a complex structure where not even on person has clear understanding with WordpressDotOrg ,WordpressDotCom ,Wordpress Foundation , Automattic , Individual Matt and yes the Trademark Licensing or 8% or 5% for the Future π€£
