@chrisorzy The guaranteed persistent inability to worship and serve as a family at their local church is REALLY bad and undermines each of the benefits noted here.
@drantbradley Always love a good, provocative Anthony Bradley post! π You make the opposite point here though: If you don't want your kid to end up functionally illiterate, you should probably take matters into your own hands.
@megbasham The learning moment is for those that assume someone else's thoughts/cares must match their own. Not a retired pastor who consistently posts his reflections on his Bible reading plan and doesn't spend his days on social media.
@WilliamWolfe@DennyBurk@DavidSchrock Yes. "Gentiles" would not see the president's remarks (and especially Christian leaders supporting them) as honorable behavior that gives glory to God. Christians would not see them as honorable either.
Are they heinous? Of course not. But the bar is honorable conduct.
@DennyBurk@DavidSchrock Another big one for me (the context drives home the point) - 1 Peter 2 : 12
"Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation."
