Instead of all this state police , the FG should have reformed the police and make the constabulary to be under traditional rulers.

The constabulary should handle all petty crimes in localities, prosecution handled by main police and orders from ward head, district head, Emir,Oba or Obi.

Monthly cost per state: 90,000 × 20,000 officers = 1.8 billion
Monthly cost for all 36 states: 1.8 billion × 36 states = 64.8 billion
Total annual cost: 64.8 billion × 12 months = 777.6 billion

With this state Police thing, Tinubu just transferred the burden of internal security to states, no one will now blame him again, but the most likely reality is state police cannot do anything the federal did not do.

Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.

It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.

Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.

This was because of the Ministry of Education’s inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.

It’s a big shame for Nigeria.
