But, sure Jan: HaTrEd Of iSRaeL.
Let me say this again. The Nobel Committee awarded Judge Navi Pillay the Nobel Peace Prize for her oeuvre, her ENTIRE life's work, including fighting apartheid when some of you and your ancestors were enjoying its fruits. She helped build the democratic edifice that has anchored our imperfect South Africa, and helped so many of you thrive. That you are losing your shit over one aspect of her work, is telling. You will be strong. Her work and its impact are a reality that your venom and childish outburst cannot erase.

On behalf of the nation, President @CyrilRamaphosa extends his warm congratulations to Justice Navanethem “Navi” Pillay on being awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to promote peace and international law.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has honoured Justice Pillay as “a person who, with exceptional courage and integrity, has led the way towards a more comprehensive legal order. This year’s laureate has been instrumental in ensuring that war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide are prosecuted.”
Justice Pillay is an ad hoc judge at the International Court of Justice, where she distinguished herself in the genocide case of The Gambia v Myanmar.
She was a pioneering defence attorney for anti-apartheid activists and leadership including Founding President Nelson Mandela.
Justice Pillay served as a judge and President of the Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda from 1999 to 2003 and served as a judge of the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court from 2003 to 2008.
Following her International Criminal Court tenure, Justice Pillay served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Two directors and three Gupta-linked mining companies convicted of fraud and money laundering involving R107.5 million in mine rehabilitation funds:
The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg has convicted Ronica Ragavan, Pushpaveni Ugeshni Govender, Optimum Coal Mine, Koornfontein Mines and Tegeta Exploration and Resources for fraud and money laundering involving funds meant to rehabilitate two coal mines in Mpumalanga.
The court found that R7.5 million from the Optimum Mine Rehabilitation Trust and R100 million from the Koornfontein Rehabilitation Trust were unlawfully diverted to pay mining contractors and other third parties instead of being used for environmental rehabilitation.
In the Koornfontein case, R100 million was transferred through various company accounts, with none of the money used for rehabilitation work.
The funds were intended to ensure that mining-related environmental damage could be repaired.
The former Deputy Director-General of the Department of Mineral Resources, Maleatlana Joel Raphela, was acquitted on all charges.
The case has been postponed to 1 December 2026 for sentencing. Ragavan and Govender remain out on bail until the matter is finalised.
Congratulations Justice Pillay!
The committee in granting her the Nobel peace prize: “An international legal system in which war criminals are held to account and the victims of abuse see justice served is a precondition for a peaceful world.”
May this justice start in Palestine

You were rightly told that if you are not interested in dialogue, then you are in the wrong job. How is that an insult? You will not succeed in South Africa if you come with a superiority complex and a "natural" proclivity to wag your finger. It is intolerable to most citizens. There are multiple African idioms about dignity- it is far more valuable than wealth. You will learn...one day.
