In the violent crackdown against the Baloch Raaji Muchi yesterday, the CTD forcibly abducted BYC leaders along with other participants. Those abducted include Sammi Deen Baloch, Dr Sabhia Baloch and Sibghat Abdul Haq Baloch. Their abduction was witnessed by thousands of peaceful protestors. Before abducting them, the forces beat and tortured them, then dragged them to their vehicles. Bearing baton charges, their conditions deteriorated. The CTD and state institutions are denying the abduction putting their lives at risk. Sammi Deen was sick with a high fever before her abduction and was brutally beaten by the forces; we are concerned about her wellbeing. Not disclosing the whereabouts of our people raises many questions and fears that the state might harm them, putting their lives in danger.

We urge human rights organizations and the international community to take action against the barbaric forces of Pakistan.

We strongly condemn the abduction of Sebghat Abdul Haq, Sammi Baloch, Dr. Sabhia Baloch and other participants in Gwadar. The state's actions have escalated to extreme measures, shutting down all services in Gwadar and employing brutal force to suppress anyone attempting to join the Baloch National Gathering. The prolonged suspension of services in Gwadar for three days has hindered our ability to ascertain the exact number of missing persons or casualties resulting from state violence against the Baloch National Gathering. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of the all abducted participants, and hold the state accountable for their safety and well-being.

Urgent Appeal

For the past 48 hours, the entire Balochistan has been severely subjected to the brutality and oppression of the Pakistani state. All caravans participating in the Baloch National Gathering have been stopped in various areas of Balochistan. In Mastung, Talar, and Turbat, caravans have been fired upon directly, subjected to violence, and targeted with tear gas shells. In Mastung, direct firing has left 11 individuals critically injured, with two in highly critical condition. The situation in Talar is also dire, with reports of numerous injuries, but complete details are unavailable due to the internet shutdown.

Over the past 48 hours alone, hundreds of people across Balochistan have been arrested and subjected to enforced disappearances, and numerous homes have been raided, with women and children being harassed.

In both Gwadar and Turbat districts, a complete blackout and curfew have been in place for two days. Mobile internet and PTCL internet services have been shut down for two days, and today, mobile networks have also been shut down.

Additionally, Gwadar city has been completely sieged, and a curfew has been imposed. Helicopters continuously fly over Gwadar and Turbat.

We appeal to all human rights organizations, journalists, and parliamentarians of civilized countries across the globe to take immediate notice of the grave situation in Balochistan and hold the Pakistani state accountable for its brutality and oppression on international forums.
