@holysmoke I believe it's Taize. I find in most parishes singing in Latin is only acceptable if the music was composed by Protestants in the last 50 years.
@BruvverEccles@amwilson_opera This production has a very fine cast, so time will tell if it is any good. There's always a fear they will wokenise it or introduce jarring dialogue (like the 2005 movie "don't you dare judge me"; "Charles you cannot be serious".
But hard to see how to top the 1995 BBC version.
@BruvverEccles@louiseallain@TiceRichard Have they been reading Pam Ayres?
"I always lays them reg'lar,
I always lays them right,
I never lays them brown,
I always lays them white."
@SiSiso077@BruvverEccles@SagarH62 He does look a lot like brother Greg, but not as thin. The badge on the helmet is the giveaway - definitely 80s version
@holysmoke I would not jump to conclusions. And remember episcopal slipper dragging can end up causing grave scandal - the Society of St John in Scranton being a prime example.
Notwithstanding the late Bp Timlin did much good, in that matter his judgement wΓ s lacking.
