@SR_Afghanistan Special Rapporteur Richard Bennett & @UN_SPExperts Special Procedures of @un Office of High Commission for Human Rights have called for the immediate release of education advocate #FahimAzimi & other human rights defenders arbitrarily detained by @GDI1415 Taliban. The former education advocate with @AfghanDreamers & Fekre Behtar has been imprisoned the past 8 months, his only crime—seeking the wellbeing of Afghanistan & all her people
The illegal detention of right defenders silences the voice of humanity and must be vigorous opposed

Join us in advocating for the release of our colleagues who have been unjustly detained since October 17th. Ahmad #FahimAzimi and #SediqullahAfghan, education activists advocating for girls' education, have been held by the Taliban, specifically @GDI1415. We urge for their immediate and unconditional release. Stand with us in demanding justice for these brave individuals.
Thank you @amnesty!
Our team colleagues, Sadiqullah Afghan and Fahim Azimi, have been detained due to their educational efforts. The Afghan Girls Robotics Team implores the global community to join us in urging their immediate release. @SR_Afghanistan@StateDept@tomas_niklasson @portzelmarkus
Afghan girls' robotics team families have been in Pakistan for two and a half years. With visas expiring, they facing an uncertain return to Afghanistan. Urgently seeking help for our loved ones. @ElhamMansoory@SadafHamidi4@asefa_amini @NoorzaiShabnam @AHaydarpour @ZiauddinY
On October 17th, Fahim and his colleagues were unjustly taken into custody by the Taliban, who accused them of organizing a protest with false allegations. Fahim is the director of our organization DCF, that is dedicated to providing education to thousands of female students. It is important to note that Fahim had all the necessary permissions to carry out his educational work, and he also extended humanitarian assistance to those in need.
Although the Taliban released the female teacher and her students, they continued to detain Fahim and his colleagues, adding further accusations that they were involved in evacuation efforts of Afghan Dreamers.
Fahim and his colleagues made the decision to stay in Afghanistan instead of seeking evacuation During August 2021 demonstrating their true heroism. Despite facing numerous challenges and risks, they remain committed to rebuilding their country. We believe that they deserve immediate release, as their unwavering dedication to their homeland warrants recognition and support. We urge @UNAMA@SE_AfghanWGH@US4AfghanPeace@tomas_niklasson@Lolwah_Alkhater to take immediate action to secure their freedom and ensure justice is served.
Congratulations to Excellency @Lolwah_Alkhater on receiving the Medal! Your unwavering dedication and hard work have reinstated a vital recognition for exceptional accomplishments. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for your continuous support to people.
Thank you, HE @QatarGov & @Lolwah_Alkhater, for evacuating #AfghanDreamers from Afghanistan and enabling their education in tough times. Your kindness, generosity, and exceptional hospitality will always be remembered. Thanks for being an extraordinary host!
Our #AfghanDreamers team has arrived in the USA! Heartfelt thanks to @USEmbassyDoha in the process — Your support will go a long way in helping these girls, who initially evacuated in August 2021, start a new life in the US. Thank you for your compassion!
For the Afghan Dreamers, it was an important opportunity & honour to represent the voice of Millions of Afghan girls inside and outside Afghanistan while there was no representative from Afghanistan to the UN this year. #LetAfghanGirlsLearn
Thank you @Lolwah_Alkhater for your incredible support & a chance to the #AfghanDreamers to exhibit their Robots during the LDC5 at UNGA in Doha Qatar. They had a chance 2 meet with political leaders & UN officials 2 discuss importance of quality & access to education for everyone
Prat of my speech in #LDC5 conference: 533 days have passed since the Taliban took away the right to life from Afghan women and girls. If you want a world with justice and peace, everyone should have the right to access education.
The Afghan Girls Robotics Team was honored to participate in the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries #LDC5 on behalf of Afghanistan and the Afghan Girls to showcase the robots made by their team. #AfghanDreamer
Powerful words from former captain @AfghanDreamers & current ECW Global Champion , @FaruqiSomaya as speaker at #LDC5 “Youth must be empowered and given equal opportunities to participate in the decision-making processes." Proud of you ♥️
One of a truly inspiring moments for me at #LDC5 was to see #Afghan girls robotic team representing #Afghanistan by displaying the inherited potential the nation has gotten. They are a hope! @AfghanDreamers
We were happy to speak to @RoyaMahboob with talented and dynamic members of the #AfghanGirlsRoboticTeam at #LDC5 in #Doha and discuss alternative ways of providing education where necessary as a temporary solution.
