Crazy how radical youthars are ok w Matiullah Jan, Hamid Mir, Asad Toor etc, all harsh critics of PTI in past and somewhat in present as well but Asma Shirazi is where they draw the line (and they absolutely should, fucking hate that sleazy piece of shit)
Shoes on while praying, three prostrate instead of two and salaam towards the left only. These are hired actors who didn’t bother to research the role they were supposed to play.
The death toll is not 75,000. It is 74,494.
And they were not protesters. They were innocent civilians.
And it wasn’t seven months. It was three years.
And it’s not in Iran. It’s in Gaza.
Aside from the shocking substance of this story, what's amazing is how it was unearthed by Cole. The short version: The Russians were able to penetrate Jared Kushner's iPhone and extract screenshots and data. Then, a Russian intel official was captured by Dutch intelligence (!) and flipped. The Dutch believed Kushner may have been acting on behalf of Russia, so pursued him as an intel target and were able to get into his phone.
They did not find any evidence of Russian collusion, instead they watched him moving hundreds of millions of dollars from slush funds created by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, one of them housed in Israel's central bank.
Incredible reporting, and if Democrats have any sense, they will pull on these threads and learn a lot more about this money.
BREAKING: 🇫🇷 It turns out the culprit behind the burning of the historic city hall was a white citizen.
Every grifter and fraud on this app was blaming it on immigrants and “Muslims.”
If you fell for this Zionist psyop you’re weak of mind and rotten in soul.
A Palestinian father was shot dead by an Israeli sniper while trying to retrieve his son’s body after Israeli forces killed the child.
The footage was documented by journalist Hassan Salih, who was later killed by Israel on May 13, 2025, while covering the atrocities in Gaza.
I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank.
The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.
How Is Your Salary Tax Actually Calculated by Your Employer? Understand the Method Behind It. 🧵
1/ Start with your complete annual salary package
Suppose your annual gross salary for Tax Year 2027 is Rs4,000,000, with a monthly basic salary of Rs200,000.
Your employer also provides a company-maintained car costing Rs5 million, used for both official and private purposes, and contributes 10% of your basic salary to a recognised provident fund.
Assume your employer does not provide free medical treatment, medical insurance/facility, hospitalisation or reimbursement of medical expenses.
Let's calculate your taxable income step by step.
2/ Calculate taxable benefits and exemptions
Company car benefit: 5% × Rs5,000,000 = Rs250,000 annually.
Recognised provident fund: Rs200,000 × 10% × 12 = Rs240,000 annual employer contribution.
Employer contribution in recognised PF upto Rs150,000 is exempt, so the excess is Rs90,000 would be taxable in this case
Medical allowance exemption: Since no medical facility or reimbursement is provided, 10% of basic salary qualifies for exemption, subject to the statutory conditions.
Rs200,000 × 10% × 12 = Rs240,000 annually.
3/ Calculate annual taxable income
Annual gross salary: Rs4,000,000
Add taxable car benefit: Rs250,000
Add taxable provident fund contribution: Rs90,000
Less eligible medical allowance exemption: Rs240,000
Estimated annual taxable income = Rs4,100,000
4/ Calculate annual tax for Tax Year 2027
For salaried income exceeding Rs3.2 million but not exceeding Rs4.1 million:
Tax = Rs316,000 + 25% of the amount exceeding Rs3.2 million.
Rs4,100,000 − Rs3,200,000 = Rs900,000.
Rs316,000 + (Rs900,000 × 25%)
= Rs316,000 + Rs225,000
= Rs541,000 annual tax.
Initial monthly deduction:
Rs541,000 ÷ 12 = approximately Rs45,083.
5/ What happens when you receive a bonus?
Suppose your employer pays you a taxable bonus of Rs300,000 in October.
Revised estimated annual taxable income:
Rs4,100,000 + Rs300,000 = Rs4,400,000.
The applicable rate above Rs4.1 million is 29%, with a base tax of Rs541,000.
Revised annual tax:
Rs541,000 + (Rs300,000 × 29%)
= Rs628,000.
Tax already deducted for July, August and September:
Rs45,083.33 × 3 = Rs135,250.
Remaining tax:
Rs628,000 − Rs135,250 = Rs492,750.
With nine payroll months remaining:
Rs492,750 ÷ 9 = Rs54,750 per month.
Your employer revises your monthly deduction because your estimated annual taxable income and tax liability have increased.
6/ What if you receive LFA or another allowance in January?
Your employer updates the estimated annual taxable income, recalculates the tax, deducts the tax already withheld and spreads the remaining liability over the remaining payroll months.
This process continues whenever your estimated annual income changes due to any cash or non-cash taxable benefit.
The takeaway: Your employer estimates your annual taxable income, includes taxable benefits, applies eligible exemptions, calculates annual tax and revises monthly withholding as your circumstances change.
That is the method behind salary-tax deductions under Section 149 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Illustrative example for Tax Year 2027. Actual treatment depends on the applicable statutory provisions and employment terms.
