This is unacceptable. Your team confirmed that the “remaining refund” has been initiated, however the total refund processed till date is only ₹63,335, whereas the promised refund amount was ₹85,511 for my cancelled booking.
Refunds received so far:
₹21,296 + ₹10,230 + ₹6,872 + ₹3,491 + ₹21,446 = ₹63,335
Pending refund amount: ₹22,176
I have attached screenshots of all refund communications and processed refund amounts in this tweet. Please check the screenshots and confirm how much refund amount is actually due, because as per your own confirmation, ₹85,511 was promised but only ₹63,335 has been credited so far.
Please stop sending generic responses and provide a clear explanation as to why the full promised refund has not been processed and by when the remaining ₹22,176 will be credited.

Dear @makemytrip, are you seriously fooling customers?
For Booking ID NN7AJKGD56585086745 (Jeddah–Kuwait–Hyderabad), your app clearly showed a refund of ₹85,511 subject to airline approval.
Now I’m receiving fragmented refund messages totaling only ₹41,889 (₹3,491 + ₹6,872 + ₹21,296 + ₹10,230).
Where is the remaining ₹43,622? Why was ₹85,511 promised if you had no intention to refund it?
Stop misleading customers and provide a clear refund breakdown immediately.

@makemytripcare It has already been more than enough time. @MoCA_GoI has confirmed that the airline has initiated the refund to the travel partner. Yet I am still receiving only generic replies with no resolution.
Please provide a clear update on my remaining refund amount of ₹85,511 (only ~₹10,363 received so far) for Booking ID NN7AJKGD56585086745, PNR AW5LPG.
If unresolved, I will be forced to escalate this further with all documented proof.
@makemytripcare This is highly contradictory and unacceptable.
@MoCA_GoI has publicly confirmed that the concerned airline has already processed the refund to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip), while your team continues to state that the refund is still awaited from the airline.
Who is providing incorrect information here?
Kindly provide documentary proof from the airline if the refund is genuinely pending, or immediately process the remaining refund amount. Repeated silence and contradictory responses are unacceptable.

@MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia Kindly intervene, as contradictory information is being provided and no resolution is being given.

Dear @makemytripcare,
Kindly avoid generic responses. The issue is not about “waiting” but about the incorrect refund amount.
The promised refund was ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 has been received till date. Please provide:
1. Exact refund breakup initiated by airline/MMT
2. Transaction reference IDs
3. Timeline for remaining pending refund amount
@MoCA_GoI, request your intervention as the matter remains unresolved despite repeated follow-ups.
Dear @MoCA_GoI,
Respectfully, the airline/MakeMyTrip is repeatedly giving generic replies.
The refund promised was ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 has been received till date. The remaining refund is still pending.
Kindly verify the actual refunded amount instead of a generic “refund initiated” response and intervene for resolution.

Dear @makemytripcare,
Now I am seriously confused — who is lying here?
@MoCA_GoI has clearly confirmed that the airline has already processed the refund to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip), but MakeMyTrip says refund has not arrived, while earlier I was told it had been processed.
So who is misleading me? The airline, MakeMyTrip, or someone else?
Booking ID: NN7AJKGD56585086745
Out of the promised ₹85,511, only around ₹10,363 has been refunded till now. It has been months of delay, excuses, and now complete silence — no proper reply anymore.
Is consumer protection in India really this weak that companies can hold customers’ money without accountability?
I request @MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia to intervene and clarify:
Where is the remaining refund amount, and who is responsible for this delay?

This is extremely concerning.
@MoCA_GoI has officially confirmed that the airline has already made the refund to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip). Screenshot attached.
But @makemytripcare is still saying “refund amount is awaited in our account” and asking me to wait 25–30 working days.
So who is not telling the truth here — Ministry or MakeMyTrip?
You first said 24 hours, then 48 hours, then 3–5 days, and now 25–30 working days. Why are customers being misled with changing timelines?
You promised a refund of ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 was received. Where is the remaining ₹75,148?

Dear @makemytrip@makemytripcare, enough of repeated delays and copy-paste responses.
For my booking ID NN7AJKGD56585086745 (Jeddah → Hyderabad via Kuwait, PNR: AW5LPG), I was promised a refund of ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 was received. Since then, I have only been given repeated timelines — 24 hours, 48 hours, 5–7 days, then again 3–5 working days — with no actual resolution.
I have attached screenshots showing the repeated assurances and delays. This is unacceptable. Kindly provide a clear resolution and release the pending refund immediately.

Dear @MoCA_GoI,
Despite your confirmation that the concerned airline has already refunded the amount to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip), @makemytripcare is still not responding properly and continues to delay my refund.
Even after your public clarification, there has been no meaningful update, no refund breakdown, and no resolution from their side.
Booking ID: NN7AJKGD56585086745
I was promised a refund of ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 has been credited so far. Kindly look into this matter and take necessary action against this unnecessary delay, as the refund appears to have already reached the travel partner.

Dear @makemytripcare,
Despite clear confirmation from @MoCA_GoI that the airline has already refunded the amount to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip), I am still being forced to wait and receive nothing except copy-paste replies.
Government authorities have already confirmed that the refund has reached you. Then on what basis are you still delaying my money?
Booking ID: NN7AJKGD56585086745
I was promised a refund of ₹85,511, but only around ₹10,363 has been credited so far. If the airline refund has already been received by MakeMyTrip, where is the remaining amount?
This unnecessary delay is unacceptable. Kindly stop misleading customers with repeated “24 hours”, “48 hours”, and “3–5 working days” responses and release my pending refund immediately with a proper breakdown.
If this is not resolved urgently, I will be compelled to escalate this matter further with:
@MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia@jagograhakjago@consaff and other concerned consumer/regulatory authorities.
Please consider this my final request before formal escalation.
Dear @makemytripcare,
This delay is completely unacceptable.
@MoCA_GoI has already confirmed that the airline has processed the refund to the travel partner (MakeMyTrip). Despite this, I am still being made to wait while only ~₹10,363 has been refunded against the promised amount of ₹85,511.
Booking ID: NN7AJKGD56585086745
If the airline has already refunded the amount, then where is the remaining money? I request an immediate refund breakdown along with a final timeline for the pending amount.
Please stop sending generic responses and resolve this urgently, failing which I will be compelled to escalate this matter further with consumer authorities and all relevant regulatory bodies.

100+ tweets later and still the SAME copy-paste replies from @makemytripcare — first “wait 24 hours”, then “48 hours”, then “3–5 working days”, then again “a few more days” — but STILL no actual resolution. Proof attached.
Every time I follow up, only the timeline changes, not the result. How many more days, weeks, or months should a customer keep waiting?
My refund of ₹85,511 was promised, but only around ₹10,363 was received. This delay, false assurances, and repeated excuses have caused mental stress and complete loss of trust.
