A new preprint on lipid dynamics in MD simulations!
Initially planned as a multidisciplinary work with @SChiantia, we eventually split it into 2 manuscripts:
Computational part (out today): https://t.co/vVqZ4AwQDC
Experimental part (also fairly fresh!): https://t.co/aPf55PEClS

@GiancarloAbis @PiiaBartos I don't see the public shaming if the names and experiment details are not visible. Apart from the "fail" hashtag, no shaming and maybe a useful way to discuss possible problems before, rather than after publishing. This said, the journal might have clear guidelines against it...
Today our #DPGVirusSchool startet at the #Physikzentrum Bad Honnef. Great start into the week with amazing talks by Reidun Twarock on viral tiling theory, Michael Hagan from @HaganLab on capsid assembly, and @GolaniGonen on viral membrane fusion
Participate and help us spread the word about the 5th Annual Advanced Microscopy and Biophotonics workshop.
This year the Workshop has the presential participation of a large number of colleagues.
Do not miss it!!!
Really? Now with a NIR co-illumination, you can reduce photobleaching effects of FPs in ~1.5–9.2-fold, as well as the associated phototoxicity. https://t.co/ULFTdjdvWo
Lipid packing, protein dynamics and inner-leaflet surface charge of the plasma membrane are significantly altered during infection by Influenza A virus. We would be very thankful about feedback on this preprint manuscript.

See the new joint statement from professional societies in biomedicine and biology spearheaded by GBM on the planned amendment of the German Act on Temporary Scientific Contracts! Postdocs need 4 years or more to complete their work and another 6 for an academic career path!
In three months our Bad Honnef summer school will start on the physics of viruses. Great speakers & a large range of highly interesting subjects. Now is a good time to register ! https://t.co/A2wFW5bEoO
Think lipids and phases are cool? What about coupling between protein and lipid phase separation from @HY12566255 ? Or supercooled lipid droplets from @Rachid_Thiam?
Save time reading and check out the ASBMB Seminar Series next Wednesday at noon NYC https://t.co/nEMJbUcWOB
@SeeinClearly1 @AnhHLe2702 I agree. Assuming you have a mathematical model that reliably fits these curves (with a minimum amount of parameters), perform a fit. Then compare the obtained parameters, taking into account their confidence interval with e.g. 1way ANOVA
