Youth-oriented marketing of nicotine products | #WNTD 🚭
Nicotine products are often promoted in ways that appeal to young people, including bright, colourful packaging 🎨 and sweet or fruity flavour descriptions 🍓🍬.

Research shows that this type of marketing can make these products more attractive to adolescents and may reduce the impact of health warnings ⚠️.

Flavours such as mint, fruit, candy, and bubblegum—and additives that make products taste smoother or sweeter—are often used to:

• mask the harshness of tobacco 😶‍🌫️
• make initiation easier 🧠
• increase appeal among young people 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
