👋 Hi Twitter! The SE15 Community Fund offers monthly cash grants to SE15 neighbours in need of support. Please visit our website hosted on @opencollect / @SocialChangeAg for more information on how to access the fund or become a backer! https://t.co/X7CLcROCg0
If you are a neighbour or business in SE15, will you help us close the gap ?
You can sign up via our website https://t.co/X7CLcRPa5y - even a small regular contribution helps the sustainability 🌱 of the fund, so that it can be there for everyone to access in times of need.
Close The Gap !
Now in its third year of operation, over £45,000 has been redistributed all across the postcode since the fund started back in May 2020. A big thank you 🙏 to all contributors both new and those who have been supporting the fund from the start.
Although our social media has been a bit quiet lately, the fund is still operating and giving out grants each month to SE15 neighbours.
However due to higher demand and the ever increasing cost of living, there is now a wide gap between monthly contributions & applications.

A community fund, which offers monthly cash grants to struggling #SE15 neighbours in need of support, is running low.

With the Government stripping people of the £20 a week Universal Credit uplift, additional financial support for our neighbours is incredibly relevant. This Universal Basic Income pilot shows the impact that even £50 a month could have.
We are very excited to announce that we are part of the first ever UK Universal Basic Income trial of its kind!
Contribute today: https://t.co/h952e1PXSZ
Working with the Basic Income Conversation @CompassOffice and other funds from the London Solidarity Fund Federation @brentsolfund@NewhamSFund@FundGoose@SE16CF we will be crowdfunding £10,000 in order to ensure that we can provide all our applicants with funds for one month.
If you are not in a position to financially contribute to the fund, would you consider sharing/RT our message? Visit https://t.co/X7CLcRx0Rq to contribute, or apply for a grant.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Fund in its first year of operation. It’s now redistributed over £20,000 to over 70 different SE15 neighbours since May 2020, and has been supported by over 115 different local people and businesses.
The community fund is stronger with each and every neighbour getting behind it so please keep telling your neighbours, friends and family in SE15 about us,whether they are in a position to financially contribute to the fund, or if they are in need of support and want to access it
Elim House on Bellenden Road is apparently under threat - it's a vitally important day centre supporting Black senior citizens. @Jasmine_Ali@peterbabudu - are you aware of this ?
Have you heard that on Saturday 27 March local GPs will be offering the COVID-19 vaccine at the Peckham Islamic Centre?
If you're currently eligible to receive the vaccine, but haven't yet, do find out more here https://t.co/WN7L7i4YHF and join us on Saturday
We're so close to our first birthday, which we are so proud of. But as of today, we have six expenses pending, and only £30 in the pot. Make our nearly-birthday and contribute today! (or just give us a retweet)
