Did you know cold water shock is a leading cause of drowning?

This Drowning Prevention Week we are reminding everyone to please not swim in our reservoirs – the water is only 15ºC, which might seem like a great way to cool off on a hot day, but it can be a really dangerous shock to your system. 🥶

Cold water can stiffen muscles, trigger panic and cause hyperventilation, making it difficult to stay afloat and swim to safety, especially in our deep reservoirs – Bough Beech Reservoir is 23 metres deep!

Please don’t risk a quick dip to cool off. Stay safe. 💙

From early starts to mountain summits, our colleagues took on the challenge of climbing peaks in Snowdonia to raise £1,581 for @wateraid ⛰️💧

As part of WaterAid’s Munro Challenge, teams across the UK came together to support a shared goal; helping bring clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene to communities around the world.

With 1 in 10 people still living without access to clean water, every step and every pound raised helps make a real difference. We’re incredibly proud of our teams for coming together once again to support such an important cause.
