Shocking unreleased footage of CCP violent crackdown on the peaceful student protesters in Tiananmen Square on 6/4, 1989, has finally been revealed. It was sealed by British ITN. Estimated 10k students were killed. @DSA should learn from this massacre!
Mike Ditka was scheduled to sing the seventh inning stretch on July 5th, 1998. This was the year that Harry Caray died and the “guest conductor” was new at Wrigley Field. Ditka got stuck in traffic and was running late. By the time the top of the seventh ended, Ditka was still not there and Steve Stone and Chip Caray stalled for time. Finally Ditka busts into the press box, grabs the mic, and screams Take Me Out To The Ball Game in twenty two seconds! Organist Gary Pressy could barely keep up! The crowd roared with approval! R.I.P. Mike Ditka
Friends, whatever is true, good, beautiful, lovely, and gracious—whether it be an elegantly formulated mathematical equation, the heroic apostolic work of Mother Teresa’s sisters, an innocent child at play, or even a crisply executed fast break or well-written TV show—stay with those things, cultivate those things, learn to love those things.
Because the good, the true, and the beautiful will lead you to God.
George Kittle says he had 210 receiving yards by halftime and needed five more to break the NFL tight end record, but caught nothing in the second half and got an apology from Kyle Shanahan
Kittle: “I sat down, because, again... we were like 2–10 at that point, so no playoffs, no nothing. And I sat down and Garrett Celek, my vet tight end, looks and goes, ‘Dude, you have 210 yards.’ I was like, ‘What?’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, you need four yards to break a record.’ And I was like, ‘Well, that’s pretty cool.’ And it didn’t happen. Thanks, Kyle.”
Host: “Yeah, what’s up with that? What the hell?”
Kittle: “He apologized to me after the game. I’m like, ‘I don’t know what that’s gonna do for me now, though.’”
Host: “At halftime I was doing the math. I was like, ‘He’s gonna get 400 yards receiving.’”
Kittle: “I was like, ‘Just give me a ten-yard stick, man.’ I don’t think I ran another route the rest [of the game].”
