Meet Dr Helena Domínguez Sánchez, SF #Mentor + #PostdoctoralResearchFellow at @ice_csic , at Barcelona. Her work focuses on Galaxy Formation and Evolution from an observational point of view using large astronomical surveys over a very wide wavelength range.

She is an expert in the fascinating hot topic of machine learning and she has pioneered the use of Deep Learning techniques in astronomy, in particular for morphological classification of galaxies. She is involved with the MaNGA survey and with the @theDESurvey.

Once a year they organize an activity called "Chat with a Female Astronomer": during a whole day, anyone in the world (speaking Spanish) can connect to a chat platform and chat with a professional woman astronomer, and ask anything about astronomy, or about the scientific career.

Meet @Adharam8 Baras, SF #Mentor + #Astrophysicist. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the National Astronomical Observatory of Madrid, working on the study of the #AstrochemicalProcesses related to #StarFormation in molecular clouds of the #MilkyWay.

She is also a member of the Women and Astronomy Commission, which is part of the Spanish Astronomical Society. It's a very active committee that organizes activities related to gender inequality in science, particularly in the context of the Spanish astronomical community.

In her (non-existent) free time, Dr Douglass is an amateur Latin and Ballroom dancer and also teaches dance at some of the colleges in her area.

Meet Dr Kelly Douglass, her current #Research involves studying the large-scale environmental influence on #GalaxyEvolution. She is also involved in the @AAS_Office and the DESI collaboration.

At @UofR, she studies the influence of the large-scale environment on galaxy formation and evolution by expanding classification of the emptiest regions of the universe to the upcoming @desisurvey and studying content of dark matter in galaxies using the @sdssurveys MaNGA survey.
