So no ST4 anaesthetics number yet, jumped through all the required hoops including taking extra time in anaesthetics and appointable but no job. Now to decide whether to continue anaesthetics or make a switch and go single CCT in ICM. @Assoc_Anaes#anaesthesia#ST4@AnaesUnited

My perspective on AAs; a 🧵
I was an ANP before medical school and am now a specialty doctor in anaesthetics.
I work with 2 qualified AAs who are excellent,
I am often asked for my opinion given my background, so here it is a long thread including my own story.
Back to work after a couple of amazing days at @NHSBT organ donation simulation course! Very thought provoking and will definitely advocate even more for donation! #DDsim#organdonation#giveblood
Jürgen Klopp has announced his decision to step down as #LFC manager at the end of the season, having informed the club’s ownership of his wish to leave his position in the summer.
@GaslingSarah@doctorhelgi @DrAliJSmith @timricketts_ @EmergMedDr @FaisalMajid3 I would echo this, I’ve got stage 1 competencies signed off but cannot apply to ST4 as I’ve fallen between the curriculum changes and not done the required 30 months of anaesthesia, sounds time based to me!
Agree, why should we have to pay for the next sitting up front and then withdraw rather than be able to roll the entry over! This is the 2nd time I’ve had PACES cancelled, last time was under 24 hours notice, honestly, it really makes me question doing it again @RCPhysicians
@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret And given the government is writing cheques they won’t have to cash (see budget promises on increased free childcare that won’t come into effect until after the next election), why would they not use a similar strategy to end the NHS strikes?
@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret The second junior doctors strike will represent possibly the most disruptive strike in the history of the NHS. What do you think is behind the continued stalemate with no apparent prospect of meaningful talks?
@oli_m_sims When working the new years night the nursing team I was on with brought enough food for me to join them and simply told me I was eating with them, was such a lovely gesture!
