India’s trade framework ensures that core agricultural sensitivities remain fully protected. All major crops and fruit producers are safeguarded, and dairy and poultry markets remain closed. Alongside strong domestic protection, expanded export access for basmati rice, fruits, spices, tea and marine products will support higher agricultural exports and contribute to long-term farm prosperity.
