He was convicted for the mur*der of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai by an MP MLA court.

His assets near assembly, worth crores, were confiscated. His henchman Shakeel Haider was arrested for debunking a Rs 66 crore loan. Property worth about Rs 2 crore 18 lakhs was confiscated in August 2021.

Tonight, he died of Heart Attack in Jail.
