@crowwashere@MikeWingerii a.) What comment would you make?
b.) Don't think on a "movement" scale.
If one person is challenged enough that they watch a video like this one, and one child is spared because of it, it has helped advance that mother and child.
@RuslanKD@TeamYouTube IF you actually look at Ruslan's videos, it is obvious that these claims are garbage. @TeamYouTube, a.) clear this up quickly, and b.) PLEASE do something proactive to discourage these frivolous claims and scams.
@PrestonSprinkle I wonder if they've ever heard the thing about whenever you point a finger three point back at you?
But to be fair, in our fragile, diametrically oppositional culture, your story begs people to assume you’re implying this doesn't also happen in liberal & progressive churches.
@othmanafandy @InspiringPhilos I'm also pretty sure that there are more individuals that you, @InspiringPhilos, and I don't know where they were buried than there are fish in the sea. That would include most of the people mentioned in the Old Testament. Why do you find it odd for Moses?
@AbuMuhamed1975@InspiringPhilos I believe @InspiringPhilos has 30+ videos addressing alleged contradictions, 20+ videos addressing alleged errors, and 12 videos explaining the Trinity on his YouTube channel. Those would count as a substantial answer to your questions.
@radi_rando39539 @InspiringPhilos Looking back a millennia into an allegedly golden age does a poor job of putting lipstick on the pig that's been popping up on the internet since 2002.
@ParodyIsDead@InspiringPhilos It won't be the majority . . . the majority will be denouncing their faith and/or filming what's happening with their cellphone.
@Meldougherty77 I think it must be one of those "artist" things, like Prince changing his name to a symbol.
Give it seven years; maybe "The platform formerly known as Twitter" will change back too.
@InspiringPhilos I almost bought "Ceasar's Messiah" out of curiosity, but I had just read the 600+ word description of William John Cox's "The Way of Righteousness," and the Gnostic conspiracy tripe overload was making my eye twitch.
@graymatters@reachjulieroys@ryanburge Jesus preached in the synagogue and at the temple. Jesus is literally named as the head of the church at numerous points in scripture.
@davidwrobertson@reachjulieroys First, churches have written rules about leadership (1 Timothy, Titus, 1 Peter, Hebrews, Acts). Second, while not a guarantee, a college degree is evidence of the ability to work toward & reach long-term goals. EVERY group that survives has benchmarks for leadership.
@jonsteingard In either case, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. IF there is ultimate, objective reality, each doctrine you've listed is either true or false. They're all contingent on God, and if any one is true, our subjective choice can't make it objectively wrong.
@jdpritchett 2/2 Are we talking a single-site church with 1-2 associate pastors or a megachurch or larger (gigachurch?) that may even be multisite? What's the motivation to start with?
@jdpritchett 1/2 I think you need to ask the flipside of this guestion; name one good reason why any senior pastor in a mult-staff church should do nursery duty at least one Sunday morning a year? What is the point? What difference does once a year make?
