HRCP deplores the conviction of @MahrangBaloch_ and other members of the BYC. Regrettably, the state has continued its policy of dealing with advocacy for fundamental rights in the same way as it deals with militancy, leading to executive and judicial decisions that are lopsided and prejudiced. We demand a review of the ATC's decision at the earliest and the initiation of a political dialogue in Balochistan.
Fair trial &access to justice is fundamental rights. Denied in Balochistan to suppress political voices. Strongly condemn rejection of constitutional petition by Balochistan High Court. Justice for Baloch prisoners & leaders.
@ChairmanBSO_@HRCP87@hrw@a_siab@MunizaeJahangir
It is deeply disappointing that, after three months of proceedings, the Balochistan High Court dismissed our constitutional petition without any legal justification. Such a decision raises serious concerns regarding access to justice and the protection of fundamental rights.
During a raid on the home of Sardar Naseer Ahmed Moosani in Bulbul Zehri, the sanctity of the home was violated and his sons and close relatives were detained and taken to an undisclosed location. Among them was Sardarzada Khalil Ahmed Moosani, Senior Vice President of BNP Khuzdar and son of former District Chairman and Central Committee member Sardar Naseer Ahmed Moosani. Despite being injured, Khalil Ahmed Moosani was taken away by security forces, and his family was later informed to collect his body.

Today marks 100 days since security forces forcibly disappeared Mohammad Bakhsh Sajidi, the elderly father of Dr. Naseem Baloch, along with Rafeeq Baloch and Naeem Sajidi from Hub, Balochistan. For more than three months, their families have lived under constant fear and uncertainty, denied even the most basic information about their whereabouts or condition. The continued silence of the authorities reflects the systematic use of enforced disappearance as a weapon against Baloch families.
The enforced disappearance of elderly civilians linked to a prominent human rights defender reveals the alarming extent of retaliation carried out against voices exposing abuses in Balochistan. Dr. Naseem Baloch has repeatedly raised concerns about enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and state repression before international institutions. Instead of responding through legal and democratic means, Pakistani authorities have targeted his elderly relatives in an apparent act of collective punishment.
Keeping elderly men in secret detention without legal process, formal charges, or access to their families is a serious violation of international human rights obligations. Across Balochistan, thousands of families continue searching for answers about their disappeared loved ones while perpetrators continue to operate with complete impunity. The persistence of these violations reflects the failure of the state to uphold its own constitutional and international commitments.
Baloch Voice for Justice strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of Mohammad Bakhsh Sajidi, Rafeeq Baloch, and Naeem Sajidi. We demand their immediate and unconditional release and call on the international community, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to take urgent notice of the ongoing crimes against the Baloch people.

We strongly condemn the cowardly raid on the residence of our senior leader Rauf Mengal in Khuzdar. Targeting BNP leadership through such shameless tactics is a direct attack on, our political freedoms and our right to struggle for the people of Balochistan. Those behind this act must know that we have faced worse and we have never backed down. This will not scare us, this will not silence us and this will not stop us. BNP’s political struggle is the voice of the people and no raid, no threat and no intimidation can ever suppress it. We will continue our mission with even greater strength and determination.
Attacks on peaceful political activists are cowardly acts in Balochistan. Strongly condemn the harassment at Former MNA Khuzdar Rauf Mengal's house. Silencing democratic voices & leadership only aggravates conflicts. Lets stay united before they come for you.

@mazdaki@sakhtarmengal
#Pakistan: I joined with other UN experts to express alarm at the conviction of lawyers and human rights defenders, Imaan Mazari-Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha. They received lengthy prison sentences and fines for simply exercising rights guaranteed by international law.
Lawyers are entitled to freedom of expression, and this right should never be conflated with criminal or terrorist conduct. (1/2)
Strongly condemn, arrest of Imman Mazari & Chatta. They r voice of the voiceless in PK. Demand their release & in solidarity for justice.

As the state prepares to outlaw the BYC, it would do well to recall what @SammiBaluch said: “If the state continues to label our peaceful struggle as terrorism, those who still believe in political movements will lose that faith. And when people turn to the mountains, the state will once again hang the blame around our necks.”
PAKISTAN: The 27th amendment to the Constitution, passed in November 2025, marks a significant regression and is part of a direct and sustained assault on judicial independence, right to fair trial and the rule of law in Pakistan. The amendment violates international human rights law, particularly undermining the independence of the judiciary and shielding officials from accountability through the provision of lifetime immunity.
@amnesty calls for an urgent review of the constitutional amendment and urges Pakistani authorities to immediately take all necessary measures to safeguard the impartiality, independence and safety of judges, ensuring that they can carry out their judicial functions without any inappropriate or unwarranted interference.
Pakistani authorities must uphold their international human rights obligations, guarantee access to justice and effective remedies, and respect the separation of powers and the rule of law.
