Last night at @SJA_Southend we met this lovely gentleman, Robin (centre), at our #RestartAHeart event. He joined us exactly a year after he suffered a heart attack. Now he has learnt what to do if someone else suffers a similar medical emergency.

Today this is my view at @SUFCRootsHall for the game against @ftfc. I'm in the first aid post in the ground. Also here today are colleagues from other @stjohnambulance units, including @SJA_Southend @SJA_SouthendYth @SJAChelmsford @SJA_LYU @EssexUniSJA

Over 50 referred to other appropriate care pathways, thanks to @SouthendCCG

It’s bank holiday Monday, the sky is clear and the sun is beaming already. Our #volunteers are all ready at the sea front first aid post.

We have first aider and health care professionals available to treat any injury/ailment you have today.

So proud of all our volunteers and those from @SJA_EventsSA & @EssexUniSJA and the cadets from @SJA_SouthendYth who did @stjohnambulance proud today. In extremely hot conditions we treated over 100 patients again today, working tirelessly to help the public in their time of need.

Whilst we had to call upon @EastEnglandAmb twice we were able to assist over 20 patients that otherwise would have been calling upon @EastEnglandAmb or @SouthendNHS. Hopefully doing our part in releasing some strain on them.
