Feedback isn’t just critiques on writing. It can also be found in formative assessments in which the students ask the teacher or peers about understanding the content of the class. #396FlynnS23

Critique the writing, not the writer. The student is the expert on their own paper, and asking them about what they want in the paper will lead to understanding and progress in a tutoring session. #396FlynnS23

@lsmails25 Hey Lyndsey, I had the same question. I think teaching strong writing techniques might in turn aid grammar subconsciously, as practice leads to understanding. In my opinion, there isn't a way to know without observing your own students and testing it out.
