@polish__crypto@jbraunstein914@davidshor I see you're one of those right-wing nutjobs. "Suicidal empathy"? It's called living in a society. Without it, we might as well just go back to living alone in caves. And it's people like me, not you, who build any kind of society worth living in.
@polish__crypto@jbraunstein914@davidshor Then there's something very wrong with your training. Cowardice should not be promoted, especially not in the military.
@Keymaker_co@jbraunstein914@davidshor The payout is that everyone gets to live. If you don't think that's a big enough payout compared to the other option, then I don't know what to say to you.
@LauraPowellEsq@waitbutwhy Pressing red guarantees that you will survive, but at the expense of everyone who chooses blue. If red wins, the only way for everyone to survive is for literally everyone to choose red. If you press blue, you will survive only if blue wins, at which point everyone survives.
@FoldingNapkins@waitbutwhy The problem is that everyone is trying to win. The threshold for that is only 50%. The result where you win should therefore be treated as a very likely outcome. If you pick blue, everyone automatically lives if you win. If you pick red, some people will almost certainly die.
