@WTOP Seeing the safety of a bus stop is one thing. But the walk to the stop matters. The last two years there we were denied appeal for a bus stop on safety concerns with a closer one was available.

This is important as more drivers routinely run stop signs.

@WTOP We'll be hopeful. It wasn't just last year the Stop Finder app didn't work. Since it's rollout it only worked occasionally. It was better towards the end of the year, but still inconsistent.

They probably still need more drivers even with fewer routes to cover sick time.

Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv. One of the most important CHILDREN’S hospitals not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Okhmatdyt has been saving and restoring the health of thousands of children.

Now that the hospital has been damaged by a Russian strike, there are people under the rubble, and the exact number of casualties is still unknown. Right now, everyone is helping to clear the rubble – doctors and ordinary people.

Russia cannot claim ignorance of where its missiles are flying and must be held fully accountable for all its crimes. Against people, against children, against humanity in general. It is very important that the world does not remain silent about this now, and that everyone sees what Russia is and what it is doing.

Our family attended the fireworks show at Greenbelt last night. When the concert band played Star Spangled Banner I didn't see anyone in earshot sitting.

We can love this country, what it can stand for, and want us to be better all without wearing our patriotism on a sleeve.

@awhspeed Same here. Almost everything on that list is standard fare for us! A couple things on this list I haven't had, but would gladly try.

The only foods I just really dislike are water chestnuts (just a weird cardboard taste) and eggplant (unless well prepared).

@DeckofCarter But who we elect stops with us. This situation has been allowed to happen over the last 20 years or so. This was a slow burn by voters turning a willful blind eye to history for selfish and short term gains.

@polarscribe @prowrstlngstrng There is a degree of regulation driving cost, but most people want it. People have come to expect ABS and airbags as standard. While there's OBD-II compliance I'd wager non-required electronics and sensors are the biggest driver in cost right now.
