I'd say that the threshold is rather on the lower side due to the GLS error, 200-500 km. That's why we have problems with resident individuals.

Light-level #geolocators (GLS) are the most used devices for #tracking large-scale trips 🔃🌍 However, processing their recorded data is a real headache 😵💫 and examining each individual’s #migration takes a lifetime!
So, why not have the PC 💻 do it?

In summary, automation in determining the #phenology of migratory #seabirds is more efficient and accurate 🔝, while enabling the analysis of a larger number of trips in relation to the manual procedure used previously.
