Zainab was only three years old when she was kidnapped from Rimi Market, Kano, near Murtala Hospital. Years later, she was found in Onitsha, where she had been raised as a Christian and could no longer speak Hausa.
At first, she didn’t recognize her family. But through patience, love, and faith, the bond slowly returned, and she finally called them family again. 💔
Sadly, Zainab’s story is not unique. Child abduction from Northern to Southern Nigeria has become an alarming pattern. In response, a network of determined parents and activists under the Coalition of Parents for the Abducted Children in Kano State (COPACK) is joining forces with advocacy groups to urge the government to act decisively.
Their demand is simple yet profound:
- Reunite families.
- Protect children.
- End the kidnapping of Northern children.
This guy has spent the past 20 months defending, promoting, encouraging the bombing of tens of thousands of human beings and homes. People without any shelters. People he still thinks it was right to kill.
The lack of self awareness - or is it shamelessness? - is astonishing.
