We are, frankly, overwhelmed with our caseload. The amount of hurt people have caused each other and that has gone unaddressed in Smash is overwhelming.

We will keep doing our best to hear cases, amplify bans from signatory TOs, and provide resources to the community.

An email update will be going out tomorrow to signatory TOs. It will include:

-Updates to our ban list
-Links to community-built ban lists for your own reference
-Discussion on how we will move forward as an org
-Information on a reference website we hope to construct

We hope to update people with pending cases on Monday, Sept 14th. The email will address:

-Our caseload/wait times
-Ways to address the misconduct with local TOs
-Resources for support (books, articles, and affordable therapist finders)

As TOs try to address accusations and implement bans within their local communities, we want to offer our internal training materials and resources freely to the public.

After reviewing the details of this account, Pooch has been immediately removed from his panelist position within the CoC. There will be a review of his contributions to cases to ensure fairness in any case he was involved in.

We also want to acknowledge the wait times that are being experienced by folks who have already reported. We have received a lot of interest from prospective panelists and hope that as we onboard more folks, wait times will be reduced.

After over 100 fake reports were submitted in the last day, we will be moving our report form to a different link.

Because Recursion is a signatory, we are signal-boosting the ban for community safety & recommending all signatories look into the case to consider their own ban.
