@MUITrunkz@VoporeonTV The original post is specifically about Riot’s support, not their popularity. I mentioned this in the previous post. Their popularity is entirely irrelevant in this discussion. Why are you replying if you’re just going to ignore what I’m saying and talk about something else?
@MUITrunkz@VoporeonTV OP specifically says that they’ve “killed every product.” That means everything, not games, and is talking about support, not population. Arcane and RB are both products made by Riot and both Wild Rift and LoR PVE are still being developed. Not going to let you move the goalposts
@AuroraScartares Precure’s a weekly show and has to provide an episode every Sunday that the channel it airs on wants one. (which is almost every Sunday in the year) It’s pointless to talk about because the only way Precure stops being weekly is if it stops airing altogether.
@LucyTheLamia I mean the game would need to have like 5x this amount of entrants in order for the game to be sustainable. The Avatar fighter realistically costs less than a 10th of the amount that 2XKO did to get made.
@SciProj99 My guess is that it’s a temp attack that they’ll only use a handful of times before they get the late game toy which is used in the final team attack.
@nyammmmmmmy My categorization is something like:
OG: Futari Wa-Yes 5 GoGo
Classic: Fresh-Happiness Charge (When the formula was figured out)
Theme: Go Princess-Hugtto (When themes started mattering more)
COVID: Star Twinkle-Delicious Party (Generally less intense)
Experimental: Hirogaru-Now
@Cineph1leantron Firstly, Sentai being in Japan keeps costs down, especially since they already have the stuff in place to make it. It Would probably cost Disney 2x as much.
Secondly, you shouldn’t expect a publicly traded company to make something at a loss just because it’s something you want.
@findallday42@MesousaGaby I don’t think they’re liked much in One Piece either, at least if you’re talking about the early 2000s. Probably one of the big reasons why One Piece took so long to catch on in the states.
@StillDrowsier@Hideo_Fufujima I mean good quality animation shouldn't be exclusive to just one genre or demographic. One of the big problems with the industry currently that people inside it are complaining about is that too many resources are going to the action series over everything else.
@Joshkoolk "It wouldn't be memorable if it didn't have the memorable parts"
Part of why the series' found family dynamic works so well is specifically because Tsubasa is a boy and Ageha is much older than them. They're not surface-level novelties, they're a core part of the series' appeal.
@KabiPlays@jayworks13 Sony went from selling almost 3 times as many consoles as its 3 main competitors combined to having to fight for their lives to avoid being the worst-selling console in one generation. Just looking at the sales at the end doesn’t tell the full story.
@KabiPlays@jayworks13 The PS2 had 160 million lifetime sales and the 2nd highest selling console of that generation was Xbox with 24 million. It got off to a terrible start and was a distant 3rd for most of the generation. It eventually ended up doing alright but it was a colossal failure at launch.
@J_master1336 SFV came out in 2016, DBFZ was 2018, and I don’t think NRS games have ever been demanding. Nevermind that a lot of the “hardcore” games like SF4 and Xrd themselves were initially designed to be more approachable than their predecessors. It’s been a trend since 7th gen consoles.
@EternityofLum I thought it was alright, the overarching plot is good and imo much better than Smile’s. (Although almost every series has a better overarching plot than Smile) I liked it more than Yes 5.
@EternityofLum You’re currently at the best part of the series. IIRC the midseason plot is the last major plot-relevant thing Hime does and the 2nd half largely focuses on a love triangle with Megumi, Seiji, and Blue which even if you get past Blue being a weirdo isn’t very interesting.
@LordRadiance They said she was early in development in the previous announcement and that they wouldn’t be showing footage. My guess is that any further information about the update will be shared closer to its actual release.
@ToxicWeave Precure is also Toei and has plenty of fun visual gags that are well-paced. This seems like a combination of the animator(s) being inexperienced in the animation style Gear 5 is based on and OP in being padded as hell because its release cadence and not being allowed filler.
