@the3dolla @jakescottMD I’m a microbiologist. You wouldn’t believe how resistant bacteria have become. Amoxicillin is for strep throat and that’s about it. Many people have infections that can only be treated with a few expensive antibiotics. Some can’t be treated at all.

Imagine if income taxes were based not on how much you made, but how much your town decided you COULD have made.

That’s basically how property tax works. The assessor decides what your house is worth, then taxes you as if you paid that price.

Property tax should be abolished.

@WallStreetApes I call BS. In Los Angeles? Or Louisiana? I work in a hospital in an area of the Southeast that doesn’t have that big of a Hispanic population, we have translators, nurses and doctors and other employees who speak Spanish. It’s against rules for family to be used as translators.
